Harrison Van Lone is an undergraduate student in Geological Sciences at the University at Buffalo with a strong interest in hydrology and water quality science. He is gaining experience across multiple areas of hydrology, with a particular focus on understanding how climate change affects stream temperature and streamflow and how these changes impact trout populations through computational hydrological modeling. Harrison previously worked as a summer intern with the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) at a water treatment facility in Minoa, NY. He is especially interested in hydrology work focused on improving water quality for both human and ecological health, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and supporting sustainable water resource management. Outside of academics, his hobbies include playing guitar, collecting fossils, and drawing.
