AGU Fall Meeting 2025 — Presentations

We're excited to share that Yifan Cheng and his REU student Nathaniel Flores presented at the AGU Fall Meeting 2025 in New Orleans.

Yifan Cheng gave an oral presentation titled "Infusing Indigenous Ecological Knowledge in Quantitative Land Modeling: How Will Prescribed and Cultural Burning Affect Surface Hydrology?" (B31G-01) as part of the B31G - Wildfire Impacts on Watershed Biogeochemistry, Hydrology, and Biodiversity III (Oral) session. See the abstract: Paper 1916932.

Nathaniel Flores presented a poster titled "What drives the change of runoff-to-precipitation ratio in Alaska? An insight from a newly developed modeling dataset" (C33D-0996) in the C33D - Climate and Snow: Past, Present, and Future I (Poster) session. View his poster: Paper 1874057.

Huge kudos to Nathaniel — he did an excellent job presenting and representing the group as a rising junior in the 2025 summer REU program. We're very proud of his confidence and clear delivery!
